            Core Principle: We collect only the data necessary
            to connect you with other carpoolers. We do not sell your personal
            information to third parties.
        

1. Information We Collect

Account Data: Name, email address, and phone number provided during registration.
Profile Data: Photos or vehicle descriptions you choose to upload to help other users identify you.
Location Data: To facilitate carpooling, we collect precise location data (GPS) from your mobile device while the app is in use.
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app, such as ride requests sent or accepted.

2. How We Use Location Data

Location data is the foundation of Trust Rides. We use it to:

Match you with nearby rides.
Provide real-time updates to your carpool partner during an active trip.
Estimate pickup and arrival times.

Note: You can revoke location permissions at any time via your device settings, but the app's core features will cease to function.

3. Data Sharing with Other Users

Before a ride is confirmed, other members see your first name and approximate location. Once a ride is active, your matched partner sees your precise location and phone number for coordination purposes only.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. You may request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time through the "Feedback" menu in the App or by contacting us at trustrides.app@gmail.com.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or mobile network is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. MVP Notice

Trust Rides is currently in a testing phase. Some features and policies may evolve before full launch. We'll notify you of any meaningful changes through the app.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top.
